The Basic Pistol class is a comprehensive review of pistol fundamentals for new shooters and those who have never had formal training. If you know how to shoot but have mostly taught yourself, this class will take you to the next level. You will leave with a clear, repeatable process to safely draw and fire your pistol with confidence.
Classroom Training and Fundamentals
In the classroom we cover the fundamentals in detail:
We then work through body mechanics and shooting technique, including stance, draw, grip, sight alignment, trigger control, follow‑through, loading, unloading, and clearing malfunctions. You will not just listen to a lecture – you will perform the skills with guided dry‑fire drills to reinforce what you’re learning. A complete review of range safety and range commands is conducted before going to the range.
Range Training and Drills
Once on the range, we understand that ammunition is expensive. Every round and every drill has a specific task and purpose. Our focus is on building and reinforcing the fundamentals and the process you will use every time you shoot. We start at a pace appropriate for the class and gradually add distance, precision, and controlled speed as your skills improve. Each drill builds on the last so you can feel your confidence and consistency growing throughout the day.
